Join our team as our newest Tool and Die Maker on our MIDNIGHT SHIFT! (12am to 8am)
Your daily responsibilities will include:
1)?Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments (calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers etc.)
2)?Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies.
3)?Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.
4)?Assist in die changes using forklift and crane as required.
5)?Work in a team environment.
6)?Possess enough tools to complete the project on time.
7)?Fill out/complete the proper work orders for QS9000 format.
8)?All material handling that is required to complete the required task
What are we looking for?
1)?Tool and Die License
2)?Valid Forklift License
3)?Minimum 4 years of working experience in a related field
4)?Capable of operating all related tool room equipment
5)?Have knowledge to troubleshoot mechanical problems with little support
6)?Able to work independently and as a team.
7)?Good manual dexterity, communication skills

Guelph Manufacturing Group Inc. is currently looking for Plant Manager.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for:
1) Establishes goals, objectives, and guidelines covering all phases of plant operations and staff maintain an efficient, functional, operational and profitable plant
2) Counseling, coordinating, training, directing and development of personnel to attain maximum quality and productivity in a safe environment in the following areas: Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Personnel & Customer Relations
3) Direct, guide and motivate immediate subordinates in attainment of projected goals and objectives to increase operational efficiency.
4) Develop the recognition and subsequent elimination of indirect labour (or non-beneficial time consumption).
5) Develop and implement production tracking or quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports, to detect production problems.
6) Support and promote company policies and philosophies to establish support and organization within the plant.
7) Encourage constant improvement in housekeeping and safety.
8) Review schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
9) Participate heavily in customer relations by both receiving and calling on customer representatives to promote a sound relationship and act a liaison between them and the plant to solve any problems that may arise.
10) Coordinate the establishing of formalized systems and procedures.
11) Set priorities to attain common goals and delegate functions.
12) Make final decisions on solution to problems by using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Qualifications:
1) 8 – 10 years of experience in supervisory positions at progressively higher levels in a manufacturing environment. Has a solid background in metals manufacturing
2) Excellent critical thinking skills in order to make decisions and solve problems,
3) Excellent time management skills
4) Leadership skills,
5) Adaptable/flexible and is able to coordinate work and activities of others
6) Valid travelling documents (license, passport)

- Organizing meetings involving management staff.
- Assisting with the preparation of business presentations including text, overheads and electronic presentations.
- Planning, organizing and coordinating functions and special events.
- Providing summaries of staff meetings to all staff.
- Managing facility use agreements, room booking, equipment bookings, company vehicles and office supplies.
- Scheduling travel arrangements for management and staff.
- Reviewing and summarizing miscellaneous reports and documents; preparing background documents and outgoing mail as necessary.
- Interact with external clients.
- Assist with Sales Department.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years experience supporting management staff.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
- Exemplary planning and time management skills
- High level verbal and written communications skills
